Presented at the 8th Component Obsolescence Group (COG) International Conference, York. Joined COG in 1998 when acted as chair of the Publications and Standards Group which was formed as a sub-group of COG. COG became the International Institute of Obsolecence Management in 2015 and Head of Standardisation for IIOM 2019 for a further 3 years.

Special Commendation from the British Standards Institution

Received a Special Commendation from Dr Scott Steedman CBE FREng, Director of Standards BSI 10 March 2015 for his contribution to Standards Development in the field of obsolescence management as a BSI committee member. First became involved in standards development with the British Standards Society in 1988.
